Guarantee
All contracts carried out by Dryspace Maintain are covered by our corporate guarantees which come into force once we have received payment for the specialist works. This guarantee covers the work for the period specified at commencement of the contract. The length of guarantee is determined by the work undertaken, Wood Worm, Damp, Wet and Dry rot are all covered for 30 years and Tanking systems are covered for 10 years. All Building work is guaranteed for six years.
We pride ourselves on the cover provided through our corporate guarantee, however many Mortgage lenders, Building Societies, Banks and Chartered surveyors, insist on an insurance backed guarantee. With this in mind we searched the market for what in our opinion offers the best cover for our clients, the result – all our contracts for preservation work can additionally be covered by the Triton users Guarantee.
Triton users Guarantee
The Triton Users Guarantee Company Limited (TUG) is the longest established, insurance backed Guarantee Company in specialist remedial industry. It was set up to enable Triton Chemical Manufacturing Company's network of approved contractors to offer an guarantee following the completion of specialist remedial building works such as damp proofing and timber preservation.
TUG back-up guarantees are issued for a maximum of 30 years from the date of completion of the works. They provide peace of mind to contractors' clients by coming into force in the event of the approved contractor ceasing to trade due to bankruptcy, compulsory winding up, voluntary liquidation, death, ill health or retirement of the proprietor.
If the approved contractor ceases to trade during the approved period, TUG becomes liable for the unexpired period.
TUG's back-up guarantees cover materials and workmanship on the following treatments:
- Below Ground or Structural Waterproofing (such as Tritons BBA approved sealed Cavity Drain Membrane system)
- Dampcoursing
- Timber treatment
- Replastering
- Masonry Sterilization
- Reedial Wall Ties
- Resin Reapairs to Timber
Triton Chemical Manufacturing Company (Triton) offers its approved contractors the TUG guarantee which is independent of any manufacturer, and has been backed by insurance cover from the same underwriter, Lloyds of London, for the last 21 years. This Insurance Policy is insured on an annually renewable basis.
Before qualifying as a TUG approved contractor, inspections are carried out by both Triton and TUG to ensure contractors meet the required high standards of both business practice and workmanship. They undergo a stringent vetting process which covers surveying techniques, operating codes of practice, back-up services and reports on completed work and work in progress. Re-examinattion and spot checks are made on individual contractor's work to ensure these high standards are maintained and that each TUG guarantee is covering reliable, sound workmanship.
The TUG guarantee is one of the few in the industry which covers below ground water proofing such as Tritons BBA approved sealed Cavity Drain Membrane system.
The TUG guarantee is accepted by relevant authorising bodies such as architects, local authorities, building societies, banks and other specifies. It remains valid inspective of any change of ownership of the property within the unexpired of the contractors own guarantee cover.
As TUG contractors purchase their remedial products from Triton, the company has good knowledge of each contractor's trading history and, of course, full confidence in the products they are using! (This contrasts with some alternative guarantees which are issued based on the use of any manufacturers products.)
